Everything You Want to Know Aboutthe LAO Unclogged Wedge-Type Shock Absorber
What is the difference between a bleed-type shock absorber and a bleed-type shim shock absorber?
The non-padded saddle pad is designed for saddles that are already perfectly fitted to the horse. The padded saddle pad is suitable for saddles that require adjustments; it features a shim system to correct the saddle’s balance.
How many shims come with the shock absorber?
The shock absorber comes with 6 felt shims, which you can cut to size and place in the designated pocket to rebalance your saddle if necessary.
How does the shim system work?
A pocket that closes with Velcro along the entire length of the shock absorber allows you to insert shims as needed to rebalance the seat.
Can I remove or reposition the spacers?
Yes, you can add or remove shims as needed, and you can even remove all the shims to use it as a simple shock absorber.
How do you know how many shims to use and where to place them?
The correct fit depends on your horse's build and your saddle. Tutorials are available on our social media channels.
