Horses have always held a central place in my life.

Over the years, my practice has evolved, and so has my perspective. As I became a saddle fitter, I learned to observe differently: to see what’s at play in the details, in balance, in comfort… or in the discomfort that’s sometimes silent.
In the field, one thing became clear: too many horses adapt to their equipment, when the equipment should be adapting to them.

During my training, I discovered a shock-absorbing pad using D3O® technology, and its effect on the horse's movement was visible. A genuinely valuable tool that made a real difference.

When it disappeared from the market in 2021, it left a real gap in my practice. I didn't want to go back to how things were before.

So a colleague and I decided to keep going, in our own way.

For over a year, we researched, tested, adjusted, started again... with one simple idea in mind: to create a half-pad that truly serves the horse and the rider.

And that's how LAO was born.

Today, I keep moving forward with the same standards: listening, observing, understanding... and offering solutions that respect the horse as much as the rider.

Because behind every product, there's a relationship worth protecting.
